Mumbai: Fire breaks out in the multi-storey residential building in Bandra

Mumbai: A fire broke out in a multi-storey residential building in Mumbai’s Bandra on late Monday evening. At least eight fire-fighting engines are on the spot trying to douse the flames.

According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, a level 2 fire broke out on the 14th floor of the Jivesh Building at Bandstand Road, Bandra (West). As soon as the fire department was notified about the fire, it rushed eight fire tenders to the spot.

Eight fire engines, seven jumbo tankers, and ambulances rushed to the spot. Officials of Mumbai civic body, Adani electricity are also present at the spot. The fire-fighting team is trying to douse the flames and carrying out search and rescue operations in the building.

No casualty has been reported so far in the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained as more details are awaited on the incident.
