New Delhi, June 22: Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor said his broken toe was the main reason why he withdrew from his UFC comeback fight against Michael Chandler in Las Vegas, the US, the media reported on Saturday.

He was scheduled to make his return after 2 years of absence since breaking his leg in July 2021.

“We had a lapse in concentration and engaged in a training session without wearing the full protective gear and I hit the toe off the elbow and broke the toe clean,” he wrote on his Instagram account.

The canceled fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler was supposed to be held in Las Vegas on June 29. Conor,35, has an MMA record of 22 wins and 6 losses.
