New Delhi: Oil marketing companies (OMC) have hiked the price of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 3.50 with immediate effect. This increase now makes a 14 Kg cylinder cost Rs 1003 in Delhi. The price of a commercial cylinder has been hiked by Rs 8.
The hike comes on the back of a Rs 50 per cylinder increase effected on May 7. Prior to that, prices were increased by the same amount on March 22.
After the assembly elections held in five states, the prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG are being increased continuously. On March 22, the subsidized domestic LPG cylinder increased by ₹50. Earlier, after 6 October 2021, there was no change in the rate of domestic LPG cylinders.
A 19 kg LPG cylinder costs Rs 2,354 in Delhi, Rs 2,454 in Kolkata, Rs 2,306 in Mumbai, and Rs 2,507 in Chennai. The price of commercial LPG cylinders used in hotels and restaurants was raised earlier this month. The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder increased by Rs 102.50 to Rs 2,355.50 on May 1. The price of commercial cylinders has reportedly risen by Rs 750 in the last year.
