Pulwama: The Indian Security Forces on Saturday morning killed two terrorists who were hiding in the forest area of Pulwama, Jammu, and Kashmir. The forces are carrying out search operations to eliminate other potential threats in the forest.
According to the local police “Intel was received regarding the presence of terrorists in Pulwama’s outskirts. Following the input, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Nagberan-Tarsar forest area in south Kashmir this morning.”
The search operation turned into an encounter after terrorists opened fire at a search party of the forces. The exact location of the encounter is between Namibian and Marsar, the general area of Dachigam forest, police said.
A few hours back, terrorists in Baramulla district had attacked CRPF soldiers, including Junior Officer and civilians, and injured them.
“Four CRPF troopers including an assistant sub-inspector and three jawans were injured in this grenade explosion. One civilian also received splinter injuries. All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment,” added the police.
