Jammu and Kashmir: Three terrorists killed in an encounter with the Security Forces

New Delhi: The Security Forces on Saturday killed three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in an encounter. The Indian Armed forces have conducted special search operations in the upper reaches of the forest area of Nagbaeran Tral in Jammu and Kashmir’s Awantipora based on inputs received from informers.

Police in its statement said that “A joint team of Police and the Army are undertaking the operation. A search operation is currently underway.” 

“Three unidentified terrorists affiliated with proscribed terror outfit JeM killed. Search operation underway, further details awaited,” the Jammu and Kashmir Police said.

A few hours back, on Friday, The security forces had conducted an operation in which two terrorists were killed in an encounter in the Khrew, Pampore area of Awantipora. The police also recovered some incriminating material, including arms and ammunition. 

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar had informed that one of the two terrorists killed in the Awantipora encounter was involved in killing a peon at a government school on July 23.

The police had further informed that they have seized a tent pitched outside the residence of Musaib (terrorist killed) at Khrew and also seized carpets laid in it. The Indian armed forces conducting special operations on a regular basis and annihilating terrorists.
