Jammu and Kashmir: Security Forces Eliminates four terrorists

Srinagar: The Security forces on Saturday morning killed four terrorists in a separate encounter. The first encounter broke out at the Chewaklan area of Pulwama in which J&K Police and security forces killed two terrorists of Pakistan-sponsored, proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

On the other side, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, two more terrorists, including a Pakistani, are trapped in the area.

A similar incident took place in Nechama, Rajwar area of Handwara, where acting on a tip-off, police and security forces cornered a couple of terrorists in the region.

The police confirmed that one terrorist has been eliminated while the operation is still underway. More details are awaited on the encounter.

One more terrorist belonging to proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was killed in another encounter in the Serch area of Ganderbal.

Police have cordoned off the area and are looking for more terrorists. Operation is underway, said police.

Yesterday, a Sarpanch was shot at and injured in the Audora area in Kulgam district, following which he succumbed to his injuries, said the J&K police.
