
Trump’s timely intel to Putin saves Russia from New Year terror attack
New Delhi: A timely intelligence US President Donald Trump shared with his counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow helped Russia shield against a terror attack on New Year.
According to media reports quoting Russian officials, Putin thanked Trump for this gesture.
On the basis of information, Russian security forces arrested a suspect and put him under interrogation. Officially, the Kremlin did not say much but evinced interest to build new relations with America.
Earlier also, Trump had supported Putin on several occasions. In 2014, when Russia targeted the Crimean city of Ukraine, Trump supported Moscow.
The two leaders have also discussed many issues on phone, including Syria, nuclear deals, North Korea and business relations.
In May 2020, Trump is likely to attend a victory celebration day in Russia.
The US President was criticised by the American media when he declared that Russia had not made any interference in America’s General Election.
