Indian Super League: Hyderabad FC Defeats SC East Bengal 4-0

New Delhi: The Hyderabad Football Club (FC) defeated SC East Bengal 4-0 in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Tilak Maidan Stadium, Goa, on Monday, January 24, 2022.

The match began with blocked and saved attempts from both ends. SC’s Thongkhosiem Haokip snatched the ball and shot in his own goal in the 20th minute and awarded a point to FC.

SC’s Naorem Singh made a left-foot shot from outside the box, but the attempt was saved by Hyderabad keeper Laxmikant Kattimani in the 34th minute.

Meanwhile, FC’s Bartholomew Ogbeche made a left-foot shot from a very close range to the bottom left corner of the post in the 43rd minute and gained another point for the team. FC’s Hitesh Sharma gave a corner to Aniket Jadhav in the 45th minute. Jadhav made a right-foot shot from the left side of the box to the bottom right corner. Hyderabad was leading the first half 3-0.

The second half began with missed and blocked attempts from both ends. While SC tried opening scores, FC stopped and blocked their attempts. Both teams failed to score despite substitutions. However, Ogbeche shot a right foot from the center of the box that hit bottom left corner, and FC won the match with a clear 4-0 victory.
