Indian Super League: ATK Mohun Bagan Beats Hyderabad FC 2-1

New Delhi: ATK Mohun Bagan beat Hyderabad Football Club (HFC) 2-1 in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Athletic Stadium, Goa, on Tuesday, February 08, 2022.

The match began with FC players confined within their half. Though ATK’s David Williams received the ball from HFC and passed to Hugo Boumous, the ball went offside in the 11th minute.

ATK’s Liston Colaco passed to Williams, but the ball went to Boumous in the 20th minute. However, HFC goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani turned left and saved the net. The first half ended in a goalless draw from both ends despite additional four minutes.

The second half began with a Colaco running and slotting the ball in the bottom corner of the net in the 57th minute. The goal was followed by ATK’s Manvir Singh swinging the ball past defenders and HFC keeper to score a second in the 59th minute. ATK was leading with two consecutive goals.

ATK keeper Amrinder Singh saved HFC’s Joao Victor’s stinging shot. Singh punched the ball into HFC’s Joel Chianese’s feet, who shot the rebound straight into the net and scored a first for HFC. The teams failed to score despite six additional minutes and several chances.
