New Delhi: With the 2,09,918 new cases in the last 24 hours, India reported a noticeable downfall in the new covid cases. As per the latest data released by the health ministry, India recorded a slight dip in daily coronavirus infections with 2.09 lakh coronavirus cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, A total of 959 deaths and 2,62,628 recoveries were also reported during the same time. The daily COVID-19 positivity rate in the country has reached 15.77 percent.
The new cases pushed the country’s overall COVID-19 count to 4,13,02,440, while the death toll has surged to 4,95,050 as more people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
Currently, the country has 18,31,268 active COVID-19 cases and comprises 4.43 percent of the total infections. The recovery rate in India stands at 94.37 percent, according to the health ministry.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on Sunday congratulated fellow citizens for fully vaccinating 75 percent of all adults. The COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 166.03 crores in the country so far. The total jabs administered in the country under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive stand at 1,66,03,96,227.
