New Delhi: India assisted Bangladesh on Monday by repatriating 37 victims of human trafficking from West Bengal to the neighboring country.

They included four women, 12 girls and 21 boys under the age of 18, who had been languishing in various safe homes in India for the last two to five years.

More than 150 Bangladeshi women and children, victims of trafficking and illegal border crossings, have been stranded in various safe homes in West Bengal, according to the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).

On January 25 this year, the first group of 38 women and children had been repatriated to Bangladesh.
