G3Q competition: Over 27 lakh citizens have taken a part in the quiz

Ahmedabad: India’s biggest quiz competition, Gujarat Gyan Guru Quiz (G3Q), continues to draw a massive response from the students and citizens of Gujarat. Over 27 lakh people registered on the website g3q.co.in the last nine weeks, and 22.61 lakhs participated in the competition.

In the ninth week, a total of 3.54 lakh students participated in the G3Q competition. So far, 1,06,884 winners have been declared. The winners’ cash prizes are being transferred in a phased manner to their bank accounts. The 10th round of the competition will be held next week to enable more citizens to participate in the quiz.

State Education Minister Jitubhai Vaghani said the students and citizens of Gujarat had extended a massive response to India’s biggest quiz competition, G3Q, ever since it started on July 7. In the last nine weeks, nearly 27 lakh registrations were received, and 22.61 lakh people participated in the competition.

In the quiz, which has so far run for nine weeks in a row at taluka and ward levels, over 4 lakh took part in the first week, 3.63 lakh in the second week, 2.65 lakh in the third week, more than 2 lakh in the fourth week, 1.50 lakh in the fifth week, and 1.14 lakh in the sixth week and over 1.45 lakh students took part in the seventh week. In the eighth week, 3.54 lakh, and in the ninth week also, 3.54 lakh people participated, which is a record. They included 2,18,082 school students, 29,129 college students, and 16,788 citizens.

Vaghani informed that, given the positive response from students and citizens, the government has decided to hold another, that is, the 10th, round next week to enable maximum participation in the taluka and district levels. The 10th round will be held from September 11 to 16, 2022.

In the ninth week of the quiz, 11,078 winners were declared on Saturday. They included 3,749 school students, 3,036 college students, and 4,296 others. From the first to the ninth round, 1,06,886 winners have been declared. They include 33,763 school students, 28,413 college students, and 44,708 others.
Their names could be seen on the website g3q.co.in.

Vaghani said this competition runs weekly from Sunday through Friday, and winners are announced on Saturdays.
The ongoing G3Q competition is being organized for ten consecutive weeks at taluka and ward and then at district and state levels. Winners in this mega-competition will get cash prizes worth Rs. 25 crores and study tours.

When the G3Q competition started on July 7, 14 out of 25 schools and 23 out of 25 college-level winners submitted their bank account details on the g3q portal. The process of disbursement of cash prizes of the winners from the third to the eighth rounds at school levels, through the district DEOs, is in progress. The DEOs will disburse cash prizes to the winners concerned.
