New Delhi: The Delhi Football Club (FC) ousted 7Wasa United Sports and Cultural Club (SCC) 15-4 in the Group C qualifiers to secure a spot in the semifinals of the Hero Futsal Club Championship 2021 on Wednesday.
The Delhi FC team led the match after, just six minutes into the game, Rohit Mulchandani scored the first goal. Soon, their opponents equaled the score through Primrose Lamat. However, Jeje Lalpekhlua scored another point for the FC.
Team 7Wasa eventually snatched the lead as Riburom Jat and Civility Khongmalai scored consecutively to lead the first half by 3-2.
The next half of the match began with Lalpekhlua equalizing the score within seconds, surprising his opponents.
Delhi FC player Nikhil Mali entered the game in the 23rd minute. The two players scored back-to-back nets to sustain their lead. The Delhi FC scored aggressively as the frustrated 7Wasa looked on.
Mali scored the last goal a minute before Gwgwmsar Gayary and Tejas Bhandari entered the match. Team Delhi FC ultimately won the match and scored 44 goals in 3 matches so far.
They will play against Group D winners in the semifinals on Friday.
