Ahmedabad: Bharatiya Vichar Manch (BVM), an affiliate of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will organize a talk on “Ayodhya: the Unasked Questions’ by Indophile Dr Koenraad Elst here on October 6.

The venue will be at Bhavans College, Ahmedabad, at 10 am.

Well-known for his investigations in Judaism, Christianity and Islam, besides Hinduism, Dr Elst was an editor of the New Right Flemish nationalist journal Teksten. He has been associated with a Flemish nationalist far-right political party. He has also been a regular contributor to the Brussels Journal, a controversial conservative blog.

Dr Elst has been an intellectual inheritor of the Hindu school of thought championed by  Ram Swarup and Sitaram Goel, and their the Voice of India (VOI) publishers, who were critical of Christianity and Islam.

In the Ram Janmabhoomi versus Babri Masjid issue, Dr Elst supported the case for the birthplace of Lord Ram. In his work “Ayodhya and After (1991)”, he supported the demolition of the mosque and termed it an exercise in national integration.
