Director Ayan Mukharji announces the release date for Brahmastra parts 2 and 3

New Delhi, April 4: The filmmaker Ayan Mukharji recently gave an update about the Bramhastar movie, which is the sequel to Brahmastra Part One: Shiva and will be released in the next three years.

On Tuesday morning, the director shared a note on his Instagram account with the caption “the next phase” for his fans who are waiting for any updates about his upcoming project. He wrote, “The time has come for some updates on the trilogy, the Astraverse, and my life.”

Sharing a note, Ayan gave details to the fans, saying that Bramshasrta Part 2: Dev will be released in December 2026, while Part 3 will be on screen in December 2027.

Before that, he had revealed that the movie’s sequel, which is parts two and three, will be shot together. “The truth is, we are going to take a little bit of time to write it. I know there is a lot of anticipation; people want the film to come out, but first we will write it properly without compromising it,” said Ayan. He further added that “I think it will be about three years from now before we see Brahmastra 2 on the big screen.”

 The Bramhastra Part One: Shiva, directed and written by Ayan Mukharji, was released in September 2022 and starred Aliya Bhatt and Ranbeer Kapoor in the lead roles, as well as Amitabh Bachhan, Moni Roy, Nagarjuna, and Shah Rukh Khan in supporting roles. The movie was produced by the stars’ studio under the Dharma Production banner. The film has earned Rs. 431 crore worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022.

The film critic Taran Adarsh shared his excitement on his Twitter account, where he wrote, “Big news, Ayan Mukjarji announces Brahmastra 2 and 3. Both parts are to be shot together.”
