Ahmedabad: As part of ongoing restrictions to curb fresh Covid-19 infections, the Gujarat government has extended the night curfew in 8 cities till July 31, 2021.
The night curfew will remain in force in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar, Junagarh, Rajkot, Surat, and Vadodara until July 31 from 10 pm to 6 am, the government decided on Friday.
Earlier the night curfew was scheduled to be lifted from July 20. Now it will end on August 1 at 6 am.
In another decision, the government decided to open water parks and swimming pools with a 60 percent capacity from July 20.
Their managers, employees, and all other workers involved will have to be vaccinated to make sure implementation of pandemic-related protocols.
From July 20, private and public AC and Non-AC buses will run with 75% passenger capacity.
Besides, the government has exempted hotels, resorts, restaurants, and water parks from fixed electricity charges. Instead, actual consumption bills will now be issued.
