Bill Gates met PM Narendra Modi on his visit to India

New Delhi, March 4: The Microsoft founder and the philanthropist Bill Gates met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to India on Friday.

It is noted that this was Bill Gates’ first visit to India after the COVID-19 situation.

The businessman shared his Twitter post, where he wrote, “My conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi left me more optimistic than ever about the progress that India is making in health development and climate.”

The talks between the PM and Bill Gates focused mainly on climate change, innovation work in the health sector, and other important areas of development.

While talking with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he also highlighted the time when he was in touch with the PM. “We have been in touch, especially during COVID time, about developing COVID-19 vaccines and investigating India’s health systems,” revealed the businessman.

He even praised the government’s work and efforts at the time of the COVID situation and agreed with PM Modi’s beliefs that “CO-WIN is a model for the world.”

He said that the country is “making progress in the health sector, developing in various fields, working on the climate, and showing what’s possible when we invest in innovation.”

PM Modi also wrote on Twitter, expressing his pleasure “delighted to meet Bill Gates and having extensive discussions on key issues. His humility and passion to create a better as well as more sustainable planet are clearly visible.”

During his visit to India, Bill Gates met and had a good discussion with the RBI governor, Shaktikant Das, and the minister of health and family welfare, Mnsukesh Mandaviya, over various development issues, and he also visited the Indian Agricultural Research Institute.
