New Delhi, June 28: Bronny James was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers where he will play alongside his father LeBron James, the media reported on Friday.
“In the history of NBA, there’s never been a father and a son that have shared an NBA basketball court and that feels like something that could be magical,” Los Angeles Lakers manager Rob Pelinka said.
Before this, Bronny,19, played one season at the University of South Carolina Trojans, where he averaged 4.8 points and 2.1 assists per game.
LeBron James, 39, who is entering the last year of his basketball career, said his dream came true. In 2022, at the All-Star game, he had said he wanted to play with his son.
Since the National Basketball Association (NBA) started in 1946, no father-son duo has ever played together.
