A Conclave for proactive well-being of families organised by FICCI-FLO

Ahmedabad: A conclave “wellness rules” aimed at reintroducing the significance of family in modern life and for proactive well-being of families along with an exhibition of wellness products, was jointly organized by Ficci-Flo Ahmedabad and Sleepwell Foundation (SWF) at Courtyard by Marriott on Saturday in Ahmedabad.

The conclave was also to motivate peers to explore the manifold benefits of physical, emotional, creative, intellectual and spiritual wellness for a better life.

The dignitaries from different fields joined the conclave to spread the better understanding of healthy life from different perspective.

Everyone has their own meaning of wellness. And a ‘healthy body’ can only lead to ‘healthy mind’, said Dietician and Nutritionist Sohini Shah while answering the question from other side. She suggests ‘fasting is not good for health’ as its not worthy to disturb the normal regular routine cycle of the body. Perhaps she advised the audience to eat every three to four hours and drink as much water to keep oneself hydrated and fit.

Other dignitaries joining as speakers were actress and social activist Lisa Ray, film maker and author Vivek Agnihotri, Neurologist and sleep specialist Dr. Manvir Bhatia, corporate trainer and Psychotherapist Arvind j. Singh, sports person and ‘Queen of Super Bike Fame’ Dr. Maral Yazarloo Pattrick, theatre director and master trainer Feisal Alkazi, singer and music composer Rene Singh, dancer and choreographer Avni Sethi, news anchor and RJ Richa Anirudh.

The event justified the title ‘Wellness Rules’ many useful rules and guidance regarding its usefulness and benefits were shared and discussed satisfactorily during each session.

FLO is a women wing of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) runs with an objective to encourage and facilitate women to showcase their talents, skills and experiences across sectors of the economy.
