
69-years-young Modi to celebrate his birthday on Tuesday in Gujarat
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada River,whose water level has reached its highest mark for the first time, to celebrate his 69th birthday by kicking off the Namami Narmade Mahotsava.
The Prime Minister will land at Ahmedabad airport on Monday night. He will visit his mother Hiraba in Raisan village in Gandhinagar district to take her blessings. He will then visit the dam site at Kevadiya in Narmada district to attend the Mahotsava to celebrate the water level milestone, according to a State government release on Monday.
Modi will also address a gathering at the dam site. Officials said a large dome structure is being set up to accommodate around 10,000 people for the event.
